The wonderful world of resto-mod C1 Corvettes is robust and healthy, supported by a thriving cottage industry of talented folks who have taken a lot of the guess work out of modernizing an old Corvette. The basic building blocks are long established with various players emerging to help an enthusiast put together a fierce new supercar with old car threads.

Guys like Paul Newman will sell you a state of the art chassis, GM Performance will gladly deliver a fire breathing crate motor to your door, Wilwood will sell you some bad ass brakes, and if you can’t handle the build yourself, there are several shops around the country that will bolt the hardware together into a finished car.

With the resto-mod blueprint firmly established, color, wheels and stance are what separate a good car from a great one and really allows an owner to put his or her signature on the rig. A great example is this 1962 Vette that perfectly blends new age HRE wheels with timeless Harley Earl styling.

We know from the stance of this car and the four trumpet, center mounted exhaust that this old C1 has been treated to the resto-mod transformation and it looks great in a late ‘90s “Pewter” shade of grey.
