The Revved Up 4 Kids Charity Weekend presented by Edelbrock has gotten larger and more spectacular every year. This year we were there to cover all the action from both days. Check it out here.
The Mustang Club of America’s Ron Bramlett, Executive Director of the MCA’s planned Mustang 50th Birthday Celebration, has announced there will be two gala events on the same weekend in April of 2014 – one in Las Vegas, Nevada and one in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Thinking about Austin, Texas, in the spring conjures up many thoughts. Students are prepping for final exams at the University of Texas. Music and film lovers are still recovering from the South by Southwest festival. But for car folks, it means one thing – time for the Lone Star Round Up.
Last year it was snow. This year, rain clouds hung overhead. Nonetheless, the 10th annual presentation of Mopars at the Strip enjoys a successful event despite the challenges of fickle weather.
When it comes to whittling down all of the gorgeous machines we spotted at this year’s Goodguys Del Mar Spring Nationals, we again are left scratching our heads as to what, among so many beauties, could be considered “the best.”
Shift-S3ctor’s Airstrip Attack – Half Mile Rolling Start Drag Racing

The actual racing was 50′s-simple; from a rolling start, the cars accelerated at part throttle to a start cone a few hundred feet down the asphalt, pacing each other at whatever speed they’d agreed upon, then hit the throttle for a wide-open blast to the cone marking the finish line a half-mile distant.
Goodguys Rod & Custom Association was in Del Mar, California and opened the flood gates for the late-model crowd. We were there for the Super Sunday Get-Together to cover the festivities. Goodguys welcomed any late-model, American powered car or truck to the event.
The streets were wet with morning drizzle at this year’s annual Goodguys Del Mar Nationals, but that wouldn’t stop thousands of spectators and hundreds and hundreds of cars from showing up.
Goodguys Rod & Custom Association blew open the doors of their admittance restrictions for the Super Sunday Get-Togethers. The Sunday festivities welcome all domestic makes and models as well as all foreign cars running Detroit powerplants.
For the past three years, Goodguys Rod & Custom Association has canvassed the Scottsdale fairgrounds with some of the coolest customs, wild and wicked street machines, and bare-knuckled muscle cars you’ve ever seen – and this year was no different.
Goodguys is a way of life. Where else can you see some of the country’s baddest builds, meet your favorite suspension or aftermarket superhero, take a hot lap on the autocross course, and grab a corn dog? Chances are you can’t unless you’re headed to Goodguys. We’ve got the details on Goodguys’ 2012 Season Opener.
The Race & Performance Expo, now in its fifth annual edition at the expansive Pheasant Run Resort in the Chicago suburb of St. Charles, Ill. represents the premiere motorsports and automotive aftermarket trade show in the upper Midwest, playing host to a number of the biggest players in the industry.
Floridians and Southwesterners may be able to enjoy the car hobby 12 months out of the year, but the Muscle Car & Corvette Nationals makes up for that. Held in the Chicagoland hamlet of Rosemont, IL, it just may be the best muscle car show in America.
This year’s first-annual Goodguys Del Mar Fall Nationals was anything but standard stuff. Street rods, hot rods and classic American muscle were all in fine form – as to be expected.
New for the 2011 Southeastern Nationals was the Goodguys Super Sunday Get-Together. Starting Sunday morning, the folks at Goodguys opened the gates for any American made or American powered cars, and shed the 1972 cutoff. You’ve got to see some of the rides that showed up at the Southeastern Nats.

We compiled a list (in no particular order) of the Top Ten rides from the Goodguys Southeastern Nationals. Keep in mind that the possibility that we didn’t see all 2,000 rides still exists, but these are the ones that caught our attention for obvious reasons.

Every October Charlotte Motor Speedway is flooded by over 2,000 of the most rare and powerful hot rods one will ever see. They all converged at the speedway recently for the 19th annual Goodguys Southeastern Nationals.
Optima Batteries has this great idea of holding a competition of ultimate cars and trucks. A battle royale of road-worthy vehicles. They thought it would be cool to get the biggest and baddest street cars and their drivers to compete in an event with one winner.
