You may be wondering what this contraption on wheels is. We’d love to tell ya that, but unfortunately we can’t help ya. We are just as confused about what this thingamajig is ourselves. According to the eBay seller, he claims this is a third generation Pontiac Trans Am but this doesn’t look like any Trans Am we have ever seen.
Instead it resembles a rejected background car from Back to the Future II or a rejected land speeder body from Star Wars. Apparently someone thought fabricating a custom fiberglass body would enhance this rides appearance, instead it looks cheap, tasteless and discombobulated.
We aren’t sure of what the fabricator’s vision for this Trans Am was, the front of the car looks more like a poor Nissan Skyline imitation, while the rear looks like a poor attempt at designing a futuristic Sports car. Whatever he was trying, the result ended up as the complete opposite of the third gen Trans Am natural styling which combines muscular and aerodynamic lines.
We’re guessing that is one of those left over cars from the early 2000’s body kit epidemic that swept the import and euro crowd and apparently infected part of the muscle world. We gathered these clues because the eBay seller comments that the clear coat has worn out and minor spider cracks have begun to appear – meaning the body has some age.
The seller asked for $1,500 on eBay which is not surprising at all. We aren’t sure if this F-Body could ever be saved or if it’s just better to scrap this heap and call it a loss. Would you be caught driving this custom-bodied ‘Bird, or would you stay as far away as you can?
