powerTV & Dynojet Team up in 2008
DYNOJET AND POWERTV TEAM UP IN 2008 AS OFFICIAL PARTNERS

powerTV and Dynojet have entered into a partnership where Dynojet will become the official dynamometer of powerTV’s online videos through 2010. By providing a 424x Dynojet, powerTV will rely on this dynamometer for all performance testing.

MURRIETA, CA – May 4, 2008 – As one of the premier online TV and video production companies in the automotive industry, powerTV educates, entertains and motivates automotive enthusiasts with exciting tech content. A major component of this equation is to consistently measure horsepower and torque with high accuracy. In order to fulfill these needs, Dynojet has joined forces with powerTV as the Official Dyno of powerTV. Dynojet has equipped the powerTV garage with a Dynojet 424x 4-wheel drive dyno with OBD II data logging capability.

James Lawrence, powerTV’s CEO, considers the partnership with Dynojet a natural fit – “Everyday we do installations and part swaps, and without a dyno, we’d have no idea what to tell any of our viewers. The Dynojet is reliable and repeatable, and we couldn’t have a better tool.” Dynojet dynamometers measure horsepower and torque based on simple physics: force = mass times acceleration. Simply put, based on the time that is required to accelerate the steel drum (mass) the dyno is effectively measuring force. Dan Hourigan, Dynojet’s Vice President, is excited to have their dyno become the benchmark for powerTV’s tech videos, claiming, “Take your car to twenty-five different Dynojet dynos, run it up, and I personally guarantee the horsepower will repeat to within a half HP.”

Dynojet’s 424x accommodates both 2-wheel and 4-wheel drive vehicles. Dynojet’s Keith Royle added, “Dynojet’s single roller design delivers the repeated testing data that powerTV needs. Our claim to fame is the large twenty-four inch single dyno rollers that we feel provide better grip and traction to accurately measure horsepower. Our large diameter roller prevents excess deflection of the tire, so tire heating is much less with a larger roller even with the same force. We feel our dyno is both accurate and repeatable; a perfect solution for A-B dyno testing.”

In addition to becoming the Official dyno of the powerTV Garage, Dynojet has entered into an agreement with PowerTV to advertise on StangTV, LSX TV, and Street Legal TV—three of powerTV’s leading automotive video web sites. Automotive enthusiasts that are looking for a local Dynojet dynamometer or tuner to test their horsepower and torque can visit Dynojet’s web site at www.dynojet.com.
