Milan Dragway's Aeroquip Friday Night Heads Up
Milan's Heads Up race ended in Rain. Before the rain came there was some good action. One of the biggest wheelies in qualifying was Ted Hall's.

Ted likes to leave like an old Super Stock car. He makes a lot of photographers happy.

Jeannie Watson from Romulus, MI went faster on a smaller 10.5 tire then she did on the bigger slicks used to run. She did a 7.48 @ 185 mph. She was the second fastest qualifier in Southern Motors Outlaw 10.5.

Brad Tyson was getting a handle on his launch. He's still sorting out the new package. He runs a small block Ford with a single turbo.

Rob Golobo is a favorite with the crowd at Milan. His car has a super clean look to it.

Joe Wheeler from Frasier MI owns this great looking Indy Pace Car Mustang. It has a 565 cube BBC with 2 foggers. They were only running one kit and qualified 3rd running a 8.35 @ 165.41 mph in VP Drag Radial. Check out those tires!

Kevin Hecht from Waterford, MI has a 434 cube small block Chevy that he runs in Southern Motors Outlaw 10.5. Kevin qualified 9th with a 8.16 @ 166.12 mph. That car is really beautiful.

Chuck Millen the founding partner of Best Machine Racing Engines doing some research in his All Motor Car. Chuck qualified his 572 cube Coronet 4th in Liberty's Gears All Motor Class with a 8.86 @ 155.10 mph.

Best Machine Race Engines Does Keith Jackson's engine.

Keith Jackson from Canton, MI was the 2007 Run What You Brung Champion. Keith qualified 4th Friday night in NAPA Run What You Brung with a 6.98 @ 202.61 mph.

Butch Kemp from Washington, MI was the number one qualifier in Liberty's Gears ALL Motor Class with a run of 8.60 @ 157.16 mph. It was good to see Butch and his Dad back at Milan.

Darrin Mag from Livonia, MI ran a 8.62 @ 160.79 mph. It was one of the few times I can remember that Darrin wasn't the number one qualifier in Liberty Gears ALL Motor Class. Darrin likes to pay his bill at Holbrook Racing Engines by winning the $200 Holbrook Racing Engines All Motor Tuning Challenge that Chris Holbrook offers to the All Motor driver with the quickest average during qualifying. The driver with the most Tuning Challenge points wins will be awarded $1,000 at the Milan Dragway Banquet.

Jason Lee qualified 2nd in VP Drag Radial with a run of 7.97 @ 174.28 mph. Jason is a crowd favorite at Milan. Jason's antics have been seen on the pages of Car Craft before.

Steve Turley from Huber Heights, OH stunned the crowd with a 7.73 at 189.90 mph. That was more than enough to make Steve the number one qualifier in VP Drag Radial.

Brian Robbins was the number one qualifier with a run of 6.33 @ 224.01 mph in NAPA Run What You Brung driving the Skinny Kid Hurst Olds.

Uncle B does sweet burnouts. His engine has a one off Brodix Block in it.

APD Racing handles the Tuning on this bad ride. Barry qualified second with a run of 6.57 @ 212.38 mph.

Todd Robertson was laying down some wild burnouts. The Blown Hemi makes that really easy.

Mike Janis has been helping the team. He shares the same sponsor. I should be getting some really great shots of both of their cars on EATON day at Milan Dragway. Todd qualified third running 6.91 @ 184.33 mph in NAPA Run What You Brung.
