For some of us, The El Camino “The Trail” is a definite piece of American history, along with the confusion of whether the automobile was a truck or a car. Regardless, The folks over at
Jalopnik were given this exclusive video access to one of the most anticipated return vehicles: the 2010 Pontiac G8 Sport Truck.
Now, for the record, the Chevrolet Division of General Motors, originally manufactured the El Camino as a Truck! Back in 1959 the El Camino was based on the '59 Chevrolet passenger-car chassis with a truncated but very attractive cabin followed by a big pickup truck bed. Today, the business-up-front and party-in-back sport truck has put on a little younger, more refreshed and hawk like figure. It may even end up retaining its legendary name of the El Camino.
Well, that is if you want it bad enough, because it will be up to enthusiasts across the country to help GM choose the name for the new 2010 Pontiac G8 ST.
