LS-based engines are undisputedly the hottest engines on the market right now. With GM backing this solid platform, aftermarket companies have been coming out of the wood work with fresh LS based parts. JE has jumped on board by expanding their SRP Professional line of pistons.
The pistons will be offered in an inverted dish and high compression flat top for stroker engines. The high compression pistons will be offered from 10.6:1 to 12.1:1, depending on combustion chamber size. The inverted dome will also vary from 8.6:1 to 11.1:1. The addition of these pistons doubled the amount of SRP Professional pistons available.
The pistons feature a narrow wrist pin and an advanced ring package to help cut weight and reduce friction. The included rings are 1.2 MM uppers, 1.5 MM secondary and a 3 MM oil ring. JE claims an increase of 13 horsepower over OEM pistons.
