1.8:1 Rockers from Harland Sharp - Good !
This is a good write up. I realize it's a older thread. I just wanted to add that I put their 1.8:1 rockers on my car and it was good for about 20hp after I retuned the car. Hardened pushrods are another good idea while your doing this job, unless you already have them of course. Another under rated upgrade is your Torque Converter for those with an automatic. Your transmissions stock torque converter will not get as much power to the rear wheels without a quality performance Torque Converter with the correct Stall speed. One way to check for the correct stall speed is the old fashion method.
You keep your eye's pinned on your RPM guage while you punch it from a dead stop. If your guage jumps to 2800 rpm then that may be a good place to start. Most places will allow you a free one time stall adjustment. Don't over stall or it will cause your car to lug unless you keep the RPM's up by shifting your automatic manually. Like you would if you had a ratchet style shifter from B&M for instance. If you have a tuner you can always adjust things like Torque Modulation, Shift firmness and shift points. That's assuming you have a AODE/4R70W transmission. If not you'll need a shift kit according to what you want from your transmissions valve body. A tuner in this case will also allow you to adjust for different rear end gears or tire size changes which help fix any speedometer issues.
