NMCA Racer Butch Kemp has just destroyed the NMCA Pro Stock class in a single pass, and in the process, played with the field by lifting at 1,150 feet and still running a record munching 8.559 over 7 tenths under the 2007 record of 8.62 at only 143.76. You'd almost think he was Glidden out there popping the chute at 1,200 feet.
Taking advantage of the small block rules in place, Kemp has Chris Uratchko at URE Racing Engines build him a little 420ci CFE headed small block. Unless the big block boys step it up here we might be writing Kemp the championship before the end of the weekend.
Here is Butch's "toe lifting" pass for your review.
