This battery still lets you run your 12 volt alternator when using the XS Voltage Control Module. The dash mounted control device let you use your 12 volt alternator and charge a 12, 14 or 16 volt battery. But the real convenient feature - it allows you to do is select the voltage of charge to a tenth of a volt.
