Last year Edelbrock released their first supercharger from their E-Force line for S197 Mustangs. The supercharger unit is still the proven Eaton 2.3-liter TVS twin screw roots blower. The air track is straight to the bottom of the blower screws, which then forces the compressed air up, channeling through intercooler and down into the combustion chamber through 12 long runners. According to Edelbrock, this roots kit is currently the only one on the market that will clear a stock C6 hood without modification. Also keeping with the OEM appearance, Edelbrock incorporates plastics and hoses that resemble a stock installation. The clean fitting kit will be available for the C6 by the end of the year and the 2010 Camaro in early 2010.
The kit includes everything you need - from the heat exchanger, new injectors, air intake, tuner and intercooler pump. The Level 1 kit will bump your Corvette from 430 horsepower to 554 horsepower. For those who desire a higher producing kit, Edelbrock includes a smaller pulley and aftermarket fuel pump, adding another 45 horsepower over the Level 1 kit. Edelbrock is even seeking CARB approval to make this a 50 state legal kit.
