| Gramps here is the answer straight from the boys at FAST:
Windows Vista should be totally compatible with the last version of the Classic C-Com software, version 1.02. The trouble with Vista is the driver for the USB adapter. Many USB adapters do not communicate well with Classic FAST or XFI ECUs. Our USB adapter works very well and we have the Vista compatible driver for it. You can also try a Manhattan USB adapter. They also have the Vista driver available. Once you get a driver that Vista will recognize and you assign the adapter as com port 1,2,3, or 4, you should have no trouble connecting. Annother common problem with Vista & Classic FAST systems is that Vista has a very large number of available com ports and the Classic C-Com software will only communicate on ports 1-4. It is not uncommon for Vista to assign your USB adapter something like port 62. You will have to go into device manager and manually assign the adapter to ports 1,2,3, or 4.
Hope this helps.
