Dude, I'm digging on the Biscayne! That one will build out nicely. Bore out that 400 to a 406, put on some 64cc heads and domed pistons and that car will run. Do you know if it is a four bolt or two bolt main? Some of the four bolts had problems with the webbing cracking. The two bolts seem to stand up to a decent amount of horsepower, so that shouldn't be a problem if you have two bolt mains.

The engine that I have in it right now may be a 4bolt but that is just an engine to move it around at present. My 400 apart on the stand is a 2 bolt but I also have a stroker crank to push it out to a 427.

I just don't want to throw a lot of effort into a block that has a known problem when it comes near 600hp. Then again I will most likely never push it to that extent so

It has always been my experience to go big. Big beer means more to drink. Big burger means more to eat. Big engine means more tickets... I mean more power in the reserves in case you get that itch to get more ponies under the hood.

I know what you mean as years ago I had a 440 Powered 1971 Challenger R/T with 4:56 and a manual VB 727. The car could spin them at will when ever I wanted in pretty much any gear!

It's just I have so many choices and if I turn around and sell this car when it's running I really don't want to loose my 502. For that matter I really don't want to loose any of my 400's either but they are a bit easier to replace than the 502 so...

Yeah well it's all pretty much do to my not just selling all my stuff and concentrating on one project

I still have to get my WRX back from the shop. Then I have to finish doing the 4.6 swap in my Mark VIII along with getting my 60' Biscayne to run since I have it all together now.

I still feel like kicking myself for selling this off right after I got it!

Tell me I couldn't have made this thing fly with a nice SBC

What do you have one to the STi? I had a 03 WRX that ran 12.5s on the stock turbo/trans/clutch....though the clutch slipped.... with a little bottle. In 2003 that was pretty respectable for its time

I was about to say no way till I read the Bottle part.

All I had done was a APS TBE with Cat an APS Intake and a front mount intercooler. Stock ECU factory everything and all runs with AC on. Key part is it is a 2.0 JDM RA-C engine swap with the JDM 6 speed trans and a Cusco LSD in the rear.

I would have had a better ET but I hurt the 5th syncro and had to go threw the traps bouncing off the rev limiter @109.9 for the last bit of the track every run

I did upgrade the turbo but then smoked every clutch I put into it

i didnt even realize your screen name was 2002 WRX STI, which makes since for the RA-C engine swap, i was wondering why you went from the EJ25, but duh for me reading the year incorrectly. Im still surprised that I never destroyed the trans in my car, sidestepping the clutch at 4000rpm with the bottle on.

Yeah most people don't realize the 2.0 STi deal since it is a JDM setup now. When I had my stock USDM 2.0 I put on the Turbo XS FMIC and then the UTEC and managed to take all the teeth off second gear. It wasn't that fast a shift either but boom it lost em all Drove home from Rt18 coming home from Englishtown grinding the entire way. I found the 6 speed trans on EBAY and it just so happened to have a RA-C hooked up to it for $5700
