Irwindale Speedway announced today that it will be expanding the schedule of its normal Thursday night Test and Tune drag schedule to Sunday's, of which the powerTV guys have attended when we want to thrash on our rides..
So that's good news
The program is to include an extra five Sundays including this Sunday, April 20th, May 25th, June 29th, July 27th, and August 24th.

The Irwindale program is held on a 1/8th mile strip available to cars, trucks, motorcycles, hot rods, and junior dragsters.
“Illegal street racing in Southern California is an ongoing concern and it has been our intent since the inception of our Test and Tune program to provide individuals with an environment to race in a safe, legal and fun environment,” said Bob DeFazio, Irwindale VP. “By expanding the schedule to include a select number of Sunday dates, it allows us to accommodate more individuals and hopefully recruit some new converts.”

New Sunday Schedule:
Gates Open: 9 a.m.
Tech Inspection: 10 a.m.
Competition: 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Normal Thursday Schedule:
Gates and technical inspection: 4 p.m
Competition from : 5-10 p.m.
The cost to compete is $20.00 and $10.00 to watch with children five years of age and under admitted for free.
