George Landis is one of the top racers in NMCA Pro Street. He finished second in points behind champion Vinny Budano for the 2007 racing season. At the Bradenton season opener, Landis recorded a 6.39 @ 228.94 MPH pass though he would later go out in first round of Eliminations. Landis sits at the 7th spot coming into the
NMRA/NMCA Superbowl race in Joliet this month, unfortunately he will not be driving.
As mentioned at
promodzone.com While outfitting a vehicle with a high performance exhaust. "The H-pipe slipped and came down across my lower leg, completely severing the muscle right above the Achilles tendon," says Landis. After 6-7 weeks of complete immobilization of the foot, Landis' surgeon is expecting a complete recovery. "In the meantime, I've been rolling around in my wheelchair with a laptop doing engine tuning," laughed the good-spirited Landis.
Farber will replace Landis in the Joliet race. We look forward to seeing Faber back in his Pro Street hot rod by
NMCA Milan.
