Last Friday, LSXTV had the opportunity to check out Harold Martin and his Martin Motorsports 2010 Camaro project. Martin, well known for pioneering the use of fuel injection in IHRA's Pro Modified class, launched his limited edition 2010 Martin SS 427 Camaro at the Woodward Dream cruise.
At the heart of the new Camaro is Martin’s 427 ProCharger supercharged small block V8 based on the LS7 Corvette engine. The limited edition 2010 Martin SS 427 Camaro is fitted with a high-flowing ProCharger D-1SC centrifugal unit, standard 8-rib dedicated drive system and a ProCharger intercooler. Martin has tuned the supercharged combination to an impressive 727 horsepower and 700 lb-ft torque.
Martin’s Camaro also features leather sports seats with color coordinated stitching, a quick ratio shifter, custom wheels, exterior striping and unique SS 427 Supercharged badging.
"The Martin Camaro allows our customers to combine super car power and performance with the classic American muscle car in a modern, daily-driver usable sports car with a backseat and a trunk!," says Harold Martin, President and CEO of Martin Motorsports. "We are excited that with all of the “concepts” and promises out there, that we can deliver today a turn key solution to an affordable dream car."
