In a recent announcement from Wes Phifer, the owner of Ozark International Raceway, it was said that the facility has been acquired by the Neal Chance Racing family consisting of Neal, Mitch and Marty. Located just minutes outside of Springfield Missouri, the track sits on 156 acres with a eighth mile track on the grounds. Under the new ownership, the facility will be renamed Ozark Raceway Park, and is cited to open on schedule in March for another full year of racing. The family is especially excited to start making improvements, and plans are to have the racing surface ground before opening day.
The Chance family is no stranger to the racing world, most notably from building custom converters for a wide range of racers. The entire group has raced often at the Ozark facility. Neal Chance pilots a Procharged 1955 Chevy in the True Ten Five class. Marty also relies on Procharger to make the power in his Mustang which he won the 2007 Street Machine Nationals. Mitch Chance may not drive a car, but is a co-owner of a 55 Chevy Pro Mod that is driven by Keith Goolsby, whom is a regular at ORP.

While retaining sanction with the IHRA, the track will also continue membership with the CDRA, a local bracket racing association. Being around racing all of their lives makes owning their own race track a dream come true, according to the Chance family. All intentions lead to many improvements while working hand in hand with the entire racing community.
