Man that car is a work of art. I love the stainless on blue. If it doesn't hit over 240 then I don't know what will. My bet is after you make that run NASA will want to talk to you.

Welcome aboard. You know when I see a "noob" post, for some reason I dont expect some one to actually have a baddass car.

You better bring thatthing to Bradenton in October for the Outlaw Radial Championships

I appreciate the props, but I'd have to say that long distance race trips will have to be a thing of the past for me. It's a sad day when you have to figure fuel costs for a race weekend in thousands of dollars instead of maybe a couple hundred only a couple of years back.

If the WSC1 was any indication, I think all the drag racing sanctioning bodies better look at figuring another way to stay in business. The WSC only had about 10% of the expected participants this year and I'd have to believe it was all due to fuel costs. People just can't afford to travel anymore. Folks who used to think nothing of going all over the country to race and chase points with a particular organization are now planning to race locally.

I think all but the NHRA and possibly the IHRA will be belly up very soon due to not having any racers or spectators because the cost of fuel has put traveling out of reach of the average middle class person's budget. I hope I'm wrong, but I seriously doubt it. The end of travel racing (and spectating) is near for all but those of above average income.

Yeah isn't it sad. I read a blog that talks about the EPA and oil and our costs. It just makes me sick. So much so, I have been looking at a 1980 Mercedes Diesel 300D that I can turn into a vegetable oil burner. Maybe I can talk James into doing a video on the conversion. Either way, if the gov. does not step up and take care of business, they are going to have a lot of really pissed off blue collar Americans!!!
