The track personell did a fantastic job last night scraping the track till 9 PM and getting it in great condition for todays qualifying. Today looks to be off to a great start with partly cloudy skies and a light breeze. On Friday very few cars were able to make good hits, no problem there today with several cars on the bumper.

Car Craft Street Race competitor John Macaluso hooked hard on his first qualifying pass this morning, running a 9.23 in the process.

John Langer and Butch Kemp lined up in round one qualifying with Langer's Pontiac running an 8.62 to Kemps 8.55 in a tight race.

Troy Pirez Jr has a nice 8.35 @ 162 with his Nova in xtreme street, taking the number 6 position so far.

Bill Trovato sits in the number 2 spot with Olds power and nitrous.

Bob Kurgan has the top spot with clean 8.16 pass.

In Nitto tires Super Street Spiro Pappas has the number one spot with a nice 6.99 @ 201 Jeff Shawver has top MPH in round one with a 7.38 @ nearly 204 putting in number 5 after round one.

In Nosalgia Pro Street Jim Widener has the top position running a 7.56 @ 182.

Robert Remek had a fuel leak on the starting line in his Nelson powered Camaro and was unable to make a pass for first round.
Hopefully it's not serious and they will be back.

In Scorpion Performance Pro Street Benny Alfonso sits on the bump with a 7.33 @ 190 MPH while the other extreme is Tony Bischoff in his 2002 Mercury Cougar with a 6.39 @ 219. Budano sits at number two with a 6.42.
