Turnout in Mean Street is disappointing. One of the coolest classes and actually somewhat affordable. Come on racers, build some cars!

Mean Street Q1

1. Jeremy Gillam 10.153 @ 132.56
2. Jeff Swanson 10.150 @ 131.25
3. Don Baskin 10.18 @ 127.43
4. Alan Von Ahnen 10.40 @ 128.86

Check out Gillam's and Swanson's almost identical e.t.'s in Round 1 Q.

Glidden in Super Street
Billy Glidden is probably the premier driver in street legal drag racing history. And history has shown that playing the cards you are dealt properly is the best way to win at the game of poker. Nobody, and I mean, nobody, is better at holding his cards to the vest than Billy Glidden.

In the first round of qualifying, Glidden ran a 60-foot time which is just amazing - a 1.08 60-foot, to go along with a 2.97 and 4.51 to the 1/8 front half. He lifted, to run a 7.12 at only 169.32 mph. In the past, he has run as quick as 4.40 at 165 mph in stellar conditions and probably at a lighter weight, along with a 1.04-60 foot.

What can he run out here? Only Billy knows.

We've had a disaster of an internet connection - from the track, and from the hotel. Jeff didn't get back to the hotel until 1 am last night, internet was dead and the hotel pretty much didn't care..... Starbucks was closed, and that was that in regards to uploading videos.

However, we did get about 60 photos that managed to upload from Saturday's NMCA Bowling Green Race Action. Click the link to look at 'em!

SATURDAY NMCA PHOTO GALLERY

That is it for Saturday, check back tomorrow for Sunday eliminations updates all day.

SUNDAY COVERAGE WILL BE POSTED HERE
