Orlando World Street Nationals - Sunday Coverage

It is overcast out here at the track, but it did not rain overnight, or at least not enough to puddle the track. Looks like the worst weather has already blown past. There should be some excellent racing today!

Here are the ladders for the first round of eliminations today.

Super Pro

Outlaw 10.5

Radial

Heavy Street

The Bullet's Todd Moyer is qualified in the tenth spot for Super Pro Street. This is the first 1/4 mile track they have been to all year, normally they run Xtreme 10.5 in ADRL. Yes they are running on 10.5 tires this weekend and get a 150 lb weight break.

Bill Futch is in the third position after qualifying in Outlaw 10.5 with a 6.63 @ 220. From left to right, Rick Losee, Bill Futch, Carlos Zaldivar.

Scotty Cannon sits in the eleventh position for Super Pro Street.

Seventeen year old Brian Weddle is starting 31st in Outlaw 10.5.

Ryan Wetherington is qualified eighteenth in Outlaw 10.5

Sam Gottier holds second after qualifying with a 7.32 @ 189. He has been running 7.30's like clockwork this weekend.

First Round is underway!

After six runs of Super Pro Street, it started raining. It has lightened up some, but is still drizzling.

Vinny Budano (7.02) trees and defeats Strobel (7.22).

Fleck leaks transmission fluid on the track and is pushed off. Summer is given the run.

Cason defeats Williams 6.89 versus 6.91.

Todd Moyer (6.69) defeats Angles (6.88)!

Amandus got squirrely and pulled the chute, but advances to round two because Kirk hit a top end cone.

Cannon advances with a 6.62, as Dehaven had to let out.,

There is not a whole lot to do when it’s raining at the track so we go out and see who killing time in the pits.

All Suggs had blow off valve break which caused them some trouble in qualifying and they were unable to trace the problem until it was too late.

This is a preliminary rendering of the new truck Al will pick up in February. It will utilize a similar small block engine combination by Kenny Dutweiler.
