Pontiac Kills G8 ST Production
With the current economic crisis and all the drama surrounded by the auto industry, the Big Three are looking to cut costs anyway they can. The G8 is the only true sports car Pontiac has produced in sometime, but truth be told, they didn’t sell well. Despite the respectable power they produce, they are heavy and a bit slushy under the turns. No doubt the fear of the G8 short sales pushed Pontiac to tell their dealers that they will not offer the ST anymore.

The G8 ST is the Sport Truck version of the G8. Pricing was supposed to fall in at the low $30,000 area. The interior remains mostly untouched from the G8 sedan, other than the two missing seats. Weight of the ST came in at a hefty 3995 pounds while making 361 horsepower and 385 ft/lbs. and sought mid 5 second 0-60 times.

But don’t be upset. With a plasma cutter, some sheet metal and a G8 sedan, you can still make your own ST.
