SBC in Pro Stock

How much horse power is needed to be competitive in "Pro Stock" in 2009 from a small block and big block?

Thanks,
Myles

SBC in Pro Stock

A fellow pro stock racer looked a little shocked when a guest was at BES getting his engine upgraded. The dyno was screaming to 9,500 with gains of 35 HP and 10 TQ. Never count any one out of prostock the fastest car does not all ways win.

Thanks,
Myles

All of the fastest cars have the 420 cid in prostock that does make one think about the "420" cid as the hot engine for 2009 and 2010 year.

Thanks,
Myles

1,000 H.P. in Pro Stock to be competitive

So from talking to some of the top engine builders in the "Pro Stock" class 1,000 hp is needed to be at the top of the class. I wonder want is needed for the 2010-2011 season?

Thanks,

Myles
