Sweet Twin Turbo '67 Mustang
Since we don't normally travel in the same circles as $400,000 Hot Rod builders, it's not a surprise that somehow we missed George Lange's '67 Mustang was powered by a Twin-Turbo Modular engine. We're not usually one for super high dollar builds like this, but when we saw that it had a Modular powerplant, we had to dig a little deeper.

The car was built by Bobby Alloway's Hot Rod Shop - a top end car builder having been a Ridler Award Winner, and Bobby was inducted into the Rod & Custom Hall of Fame in 2004. The car itself is a 67 Mustang Fastback coated in a beautiful blue and silver color scheme, massive wheels, and a completely redone interior. This car is a level of clean that cannot be described by words.

Beyond the normal radical paint, what we really dug was the 839 hp twin turbo Modular, which runs on pump fuel even though it shifts at 8,500 plus rpm. It was built by Keasler Racing in Tennesse, and featured Crower Rods, JE Pistons, Ford GT 5.4L Heads, Jesel Rockers, Comp Cams, and twin 76mm Turbonetics turbochargers.

Chassis was an Art Morrison MuscleCar Max-G chassis, which we know from past builds, is an extremely capable chassis which includes Morrison's four-link rear. The car is all steel, and started out as a $3,000 shell of a Fastback. We'll give props to Tremec for the T56.

Hot Rod featured the car last year in this great article.

Check out some of the build photos below from Art Morrison's web site. Here is the complete gallery if you want to check out all 800 images:
