Vortech Releases New Self-Lubricated V3 Mustang Superchargers
Vortech Engineering has a major announcement regarding a release of an entire new line of Supercharger Kits for the Mustang using it's brand new V3 Superchargers. The V3 features a completely internally lubricated transmission which means there are no longer any oil lines to mess with on these systems, and no pans to punch.

These new Vortech V3 supercharger models are now available for sale, and Vortech has packaged these new models into sixteen kits, with more to come!

Here's a listing of the supercharger kits for Mustang.
  • 2F328-010 (satin) and 2F328-018 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘86-‘93 Must. 5.0 H.O.
  • • 2F328-020 (satin) and 2F328-028 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘86-‘93 Must. 5.0 H.O. w/cooler
  • • 2F329-010 (satin) and 2F329-018 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘05-‘08 Must. GT std.
  • • 2F329-020 (satin) and 2F329-028 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘05-‘08 Must. GT H.O.
  • • 2F329-040 (satin) and 2F329-048 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘96-‘04 Must. GT std.
  • • 2F329-050 (satin) and 2F329-058 (polished): V3 Si-trim, ‘96-‘04 Must. GT H.O.
Most of the Vortech V-3 superchargers feature the Si-trim, which is capable of supporting up to 775 hp at up to 27 psi of boost. A T-trim is also made, but not yet available for the Mustang.

Vortech's V-3 Si-trim is a self-contained supercharger that
can make almost 800 horsepower.

The major features of the new V3 supercharger is that you can install these kits and operate the supercharger without any external oiling. The gear case is new and includes a 3.6:1 helical gear step up.

The best part is the V3 is backward compatible into any V1, V2, V4, or V7 brackets. The kits simply include a remove fluid drain hose so you can change the fluid without removing the supercharger.

What makes the V3 unique according to Vortech?

Ventilated Gear Case - According to Vortech with this gear case you don't have internal pressure issues which could cause oiling problems.

Oil Slinger Design - provides proper fluid delivery without any separate shaft or bearings.

Integrated Dipstick - for simple fluid checks. The factory V3 blowers are pre-filled with Vortech's special synthetic lubricant. You'll need to use only this V3 fluid.

Oil Change recommendations - Vortech says you need to change the fluid at 2,500 miles, and then at least every 7,500 miles. We think it might be more frequent in a serious racing applicatio.

Universal Fit - According to Vortech at this time these units ARE NOT "universal fit" as the oil fed units are.
