A snake in disguise has recently appeared on the market. The rare 2010 Alfa Romeo TZ3 Stradale has been listed by Ferrari of Newport Beach for a mere $700K. One of only nine produced, #007 is currently in wait of a new home. The 2010 Alfa Romeo was created by Zagatos to celebrate the Alfa’s 100th anniversary
This rare beast is a mixer of Italian design and raw American power rolled into one. An amazing vision to behold, this stunning combination brings together the Zagato bodywork and the unleashed beast of the American V10. The TZ3 Stradale is based on the Viper ACR mechanical chassis with a carbon fiber body. “Bellezza necessaria” is the inspiration of this car which matched for the first time a USA power train that could represent the first American Alfa Romeo. The TZ3 Stradale is a tribute to the Alfa Romeo and Zagato street legal heritage.
This Avant-guarde production is finished with a Metallic brown exterior paint with a chestnut leather interior. A departure from the typical red and yellow Italian supercars, this color choice enhances the TZ3’s blend of modern styling and vintage touches.
This unique creation is powered by the Viper’s 640hp, 8.4L V10 engine backed by 6 speed manual transmission.
Not at all dainty in appearance, the Stradale retained its Viper look in the form of side exhaust tips, but the bodywork is unique including the rear kammback shape, “double bubble” roof and round tail lamps, all prominent Zagato styling cues.
This straightline designed ride has only felt the hot sticky pavement a mere 317 miles. The Stradale, if unleashed at full power on a ¼ mile track, will push the driver back in the seat when floored and the immense torque will allow the car to take off even in 4th gear.
However the right pedal should be treated with care and caution especially on slick pavement to protect the grace and beauty of the Zagato bodywork.
This blend of unbridled American power and Italian grace is unique in appeal. “Love it or hate it”, this will make a great addition to the serious car enthusiast’s collection. We expect to see this ride garner worldwide attention and bring the most reclusive buyers out, with check books in hand, for a chance to own this extremely rare beast. What do you think of this blended creation of American power meets Italian design?
