When it comes to hot rods, the only real limits are your imagination. People have been getting creative and wild with these cars for decades now, and pretty much every thing that can be done, has been done already. But there is always a way to help your particular hot rod stand out from the bunch.

Take this 1934 Ford found by Ridelust. We are pretty sure this isn’t the first ’34 Ford to have a 392 HEMI engine strapped to it, but with a hood scoop higher than the roof and an engine almost as big as the body of the car, it sure is pretty to look at.

That is a 8-71 supercharger strapped to that 392 HEMI engine, one of the most famous engines of all time even though it was produced for just a short time in a handful of cars. It became an instant hit with hot rodders, and many people strapped them to their rods to really bump up the horsepower.

This car just doesn’t have a supercharger though. It has also been equipped with a nitrous oxide system, although with just the blower this 392 engine makes over 800 horsepower. As you might imagine, those wheelie bars out back aren’t just for show, and a seriously beefed-up Turbo 400 engine is necessary to get all that power to the quick-change rear end. We really can’t get enough of that ridiculous hood scoop though. Pretty sweet ride, right?
