4/26 — It’s National Hemi Day!

[1]

4/26 has been designated National Hemi Day to celebrate the 426 Hemi.

Today, April 26, is National Hemi Day!

Hemi aficionados have chosen 4-26 as the day to celebrate the 426 Hemi, but just about Chrysler-built Hemi engine is invited to this party.

You can head over to the Mopar Facebook page [2] to catch up on all the day’s activities. Visitors can upload pics of themselves posing with their favorite Hemi, and the Mopar Twitter feed will feature Hemi facts and fun trivia. Mopar officials have also teased that they will release exclusive photos on Instagram.

Also, check out a great historical review of the 426 Hemi at Allpar [3]that also includes links to other Hemi stories.

For its part of the celebration, EngineLabs [4] sifted through the Chrysler archives to find its favorite Hemi-related photos and memories. You too can join in the celebration by posting pics or Hemi-related stories on the EngineLabs Facebook page [5]. So, here’s a little trip down Mopar Memory Lane with the Hemi.
