Disregard the fact that collectors are saying barn finds are harder and harder to find. If you enjoy seeing these rare spectacles on a daily basis, the internet can be much like searching for barn finds in the backwoods of civilization – you just got to know where to look. A great place to start is our friends at CarsinBarns.com that post weekly updates to their site featuring photos from across the globe of strictly barn finds.
It’s always very surreal seeing these classics parked in the elements. Take for example this very well preserved ’69 Mustang that was recently posted to their site.
We know very little about this Mustang, but thanks to the recent posting on their site, we have a better idea that this could be a very legitimate restoration opportunity for someone: “I found this ’69 Mustang recently. It’s a one-owner car with only 69K original miles. It’s auto with the 302 2-bbl. The car hasn’t been driven since 1983. It’s very original and very straight.”
If what is said is true, then this ’69 is holding up extremely well for being off the street for 31 years! This would be a great project for someone to restore, if the owner is even willing to let it go. More often than not, even though these cars have been off the roads for some time, the owners of these cars aren’t up for parting with their beloved rides (And can you blame them). Need proof, just read our story on two Superbirds that were found sitting in a field that ended up having a happy ending.
Here’s to hoping that the right person gets a hold of this Mustang and gives her a second chance on life.
