Whenever we as people have something, we always strive for more. It’s human nature that challenges us to go above and beyond to meet that next milestone. A Californian startup known simply as Trion is constructing a hypercar of their very own known as the Nemesis. From what we’ve been hearing, the Nemesis will be one of those cars that tries to push the envelope just one step farther to see just how far physics and engineering will allow us to go.

As Carbuzz points out the car is asthetically very McLaren P1-esque when it comes to styling cues. We’d even say that the rendering looks almost like something pulled straight out of a video game. Looks aside, 0-60 is proposed to happen in only 2.8 seconds and Trion claims a top speed of 280 mph. If all goes according to plan, this would top the world’s best in this regard. Just a few months ago, the Hennessey Venom GT set the record at 270mph for a production car. 

Just how will the Nemesis live up to these goals? The weightless carbon fiber chassis and Inconel alloy body is combined a twin turbo v8 which is predicted to make somewhere in the ballpark of 2000hp. While we aren’t given the exact power to weight ratio, we assume that it would be truly astonishing. All of this may not be materialized yet, but should it come about as planned this upcoming month, Bugatti, Mclaren, and all the like better watch their backs! There may be a new sheriff in town!

Trion is striving to go where few have gone before. Just when will enough be enough? For that matter, is there ever enough? Would the consumer even know what to do with that much horsepower? Only time will tell as the next era unfolds before us.
