If you’re a muscle car enthusiast, chances are you’ve seen the film Smokey and the Bandit more than once in your life; we’d even go as far as guessing many of you own the DVD. But chances are, while you may have dreamed of owning Burt Reynolds’ 1977 Trans Am or other memorabilia from the movie, those things are lacking in your personal collection. However, that could change soon thanks to a current online auction featuring property from Reynold’s long movie career, according to the Huffington Post, including his own 1977 Y82 Special Edition Trans Am.

Now, the Trans Am up for auction unfortunately wasn’t used in the movie but it was used as a promotional vehicle for the original Smokey and the Bandit film and then gifted to Reynolds for his personal collection. Reynolds has owned the car since it completed its Smokey and the Bandit promotional duties and we think it’s safe to say that the famed actor certainly spent a bit of time behind the wheel of this specialty car.

As far as performance goes, the Trans Am is equipped with a 400ci Pontiac V8 engine with a 4-barrel carburetor and is backed by an automatic transmission, according to the auction posting on Julian’s Live auction site. Setting the car apart from any one like it is also a special gold plaque on the driver’s door denoting that the car is indeed owned by Reynolds, as well as a special “Bandit” logo.

The Trans Am is not the only vehicle from Reynolds’ personal collection up for grabs. Also in the 676-piece auction is his personal 1997 Dodge pickup, Reynolds’ and Loni Anderson’s International Harvester-based wedding stage coach, and a custom Valley Carriage Works carriage gifted to the actor by Dolly Parton.

Artwork from Reynolds’ property, tons of signed sports memorabilia, photos of the actor with other celebrities, movie props and clothing items, and even a number of Reynolds’ industry awards are also up for grabs.

The online auction runs until 2pm PST on Thursday, December 11th with bids for some of the more popular items increasing by thousands daily.

With just six days left of the auction, the Trans Am has reached a top bid of $130,000.
