Have you ever wanted to own a famous movie car? Well now is your chance. The Volo Auto Museum is hosting a Hollywood car auction in June, allowing participants to bid on several famous movie cars. The most exciting part of the auction is that none of the cars have a reserve so the highest bids, no matter how high they are, will take away these famous rides.
On the list of cars up for bid are many vehicles from the Fast and the Furious movies. You can bid on the ’70 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that hoodlum character, Sean drives in the opening chapters, and famously against the Dodge Viper in Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.
You can also bid on Vin Diesel’s Firebird “F-Bomb” and his Chevelle from the fourth movie in the series, Fast and Furious. Do you remember the Buick GNX that Vin Diesel drives in the opening chapter of Fast and Furious? You can bid on it as well. This particular car is the car used for stunts in the movie and is actually set up to be driven facing the rear of the car.
Other notable vehicles in the auction are the Corvette from Corvette Summer, “Monster” from Death Race and the Mustang Lawn Mower, aka “Switchblade,” from Monster Garage. Even General Lee from the Dukes of Hazzard remake will be available for bid.
If you are interested in bidding on any of these, or any of the other Hollywood cars, the auction opens on June 8th. Bids will close on June 15th. If you don’t live in Volo, Illinois, where the Museum is located, don’t fret. The auction is actually going to be carried out completely online. The only thing you need to place a bid for any of the famous cars is an active eBay account.
