We’re no stranger to photoshop. How else would we see a giant great white shark porpoising out of the water to devour a Coast Guard helicopter beneath the Golden Gate bridge or a squirrel with giant nuts? That fun computer program is always good for a laugh, but sometimes it can be a source of some serious curiosity.
Over on Mopar forum DodgeCharger.com, we spotted something that made our toes curl. Sourced from Seattle’s Craigslist, the advertisement – which has been taken down now – shows this crazy aberration of a ’69 Dodge Charger and a late 1960’s Volkswagen Beetle.
We presume this is a fake for two reasons; first, the seller writes, “Just found this in my Grandpa’s barn – he apparently had a crazy idea none of us knew about. Most of the work is done but still needs paint on back half. Kind of a shame when you think about it – found the back half of the Charger behind the shop under a tarp. It’s got a 1600 VW motor and no motor in front; it’s turned into trunk space.”
Second, because the seller asked for $5,500 or a trade for a ’67-’68 Ford Thunderbird or a Toyota Corolla. And we know nobody wants a Corolla.
