Are you a Mustang aficionado? What about a Mustang expert? How about when it comes to the Mustang’s pop culture appearances over the last 50 years? Well, now thanks to Parade, you can find out for yourself if you’re any one of these things. That’s right, in celebration of the iconic pony car’s 50th birthday this week, Parade Magazine has put together a quiz to test your Mustang cultural knowledge from the last half decade. How well will you do?

As you’ve probably already heard, this is a big week in Mustang and Ford history. That’s because 50 years ago on Thursday, April 17th, Ford debuted its original Mustang to the automotive industry, launching the car as a 1964 ½ model. Not only did this start a craze among car fans, it also kicked the rest of the Big Three into high gear, bringing about iconic muscle cars like the Chevy Camaro, Dodge Charger and the Challenger.

For the last 50 years, Mustang has remained true and consistent for the Ford brand, representing it on both street and track. But the Mustang also found its way into another area -pop culture appearances such as in iconic movies and TV programs. So to celebrate the Mustangs 50th and test your knowledge on where the Mustang has been over the last half decade, Parade is offering a unique quiz.

With 15 questions, you’ll be asked things like to identify iconic movies based on images of the Mustangs that appeared in them, decide which popular music videos featured Mustangs and where the Mustang will end up once again on April 17th. Sure, it sounds easy enough but there were quite a few kickers in the mix when we went through it. Fortunately, the quiz isn’t swayed too heavily towards one generation over another.
