If you know about the collector car and performance car industries, you know about SEMA, and their yearly trade show in Las Vegas that is one of the biggest automotive trade shows in the world.
When SEMA isn’t putting on a trade show, the SEMA Action Network (SAN) is fighting for our hobby and lobbying for laws, bills, and even events that matter to gearheads all across the continent.
One of those events that they recently announced is Collector Car Appreciation Day, with the US Senate helping to launch the event by passing Resolutions every year at SAN’s request. Now in its fifth year, Collector Car Appreciation Day is gaining steam and coming up on July 11, 2014.
MSD is putting their collective hands in the pot and pulling out a special event to add to the festivities with a cruise in later in the evening for MSD’s Drive-In Movie Night.
But this isn’t your typical movie night, nosir, this is an awesome event that you just might want to head out to if you’re in the El Paso, Texas, area where MSD is located, because they’ve picked a great car movie that will take you back to your childhood.
The movie they’re presenting for the evening is none other than Snake & Mongoose, the true story about one of the greatest rivalries in drag racing history. If you haven’t seen it yet, now is your opportunity to cruise out to MSD at 7:00 PM and get your game face on and watch two of our all-time favorite quarter-milers share their story, the movie will begin at dusk.
MSD is well known for igniting the fires in your engine, and now they’re ready to light up the big screen with a great action-packed movie that you won’t want to miss. So bring out your lawn chairs and head over to MSD at 1490 Henry Brennan in El Paso on July 11th for a night at the movies on MSD. Concessions will be available from Grill On The Go, but no alcohol is allowed – this is a family event! You can find out more about Drive-In Movie Night at MSD’s website, as well as check out all of their performance products to get your project car back on the road.
