Street parking can be ridiculous, and we are sure that New York City can be the worst of the worst when it comes to finding somewhere to park. With all of the hustle and bustle in the city, sometimes owning a car that you take a lot of pride in can have its pros and cons.
According to the NYPost, the owner of a flashy orange Dodge Challenger, marks his very own parking spot in front of his place in Sunset Park by surrounding the space with those familiar orange traffic cones. Neighbors have made it obvious that they are not happy with the owner who thinks he deserves “his” spot in this busy section on Eighth Street near Prospect Park West.
“It’s ridiculous. It’s like seat-saving in the cafeteria for grade-school kids,” said Chris Mancuso, 32, who works in the area.
On the cones read “Dodge Challenger”, you know, just in case it wasn’t known that it belonged to the orange Dodge Challenger that thinks he deserves his very own spot on the streets of New York. These cones not only surround his empty spot, but also surround the vehicle when it is parked in said spot. The cones are placed in front, behind, surrounding, and on top of the car.
Taking safety measures a step further than the cone setup, the owner installed a blue light inside of the grille that is supposed to heed further warning. You know, just so people know not to mess with the flashy orange Challenger surrounded by cones and fancy lights. Hopefully nobody does mess with the car, usually moves like that just ask for trouble. Do you think he is taking things a bit far?
