Were you at the Woodward Dream Cruise last weekend? If not, you missed a whole lot of fun and tons of classic cars. Thankfully, if you did miss out on the weekend-long event, Channel 7 WXYZ Action News was there and provided full coverage of the cruise and other events.
A traditional news outlet was not our first thought when it came to who was providing complete coverage of one of the biggest car events in the country. However, with Detroit being the automotive city and this event geared toward celebrating everything that is automotive, we’re happy to see a news station taking such in-depth notice to the fantastic event.
As we reported earlier, the Dream Cruise took place on August 20th but there were plenty of events that stretched all weekend long and even started earlier in the week, some to commemorate Chevrolet’s centennial birthday. Channel 7 WXYZ was there for it all, providing videos, photo galleries and breaking news from the events.
On the news channel’s website, you can browse through eight photo galleries showing the countless numbers of classics that were at the event. Video coverage of the Cruise includes the kick off of the Cruise, favorite spots along the Cruise route, and even a video capturing a power line falling on Dream Cruise participants. News from the event ranges widely on the website from the weekend’s storms to a wedding proposal done along the cruise route.
For complete coverage of the event, check out Channel 7 WXYZ Action News’ website. Even if you were at the event, there was surely something you missed.
