Craigslist Find: Rare 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner Two Door Post

1969 Plymouth Roadrunner project [1]

This rare 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner 2 Door Post [2] has turned up for sale in Phoenix, Arizona. It’s hard to tell from first glance but in her glory days she was an H Code Triple black car. This means she originally had a black interior, a black Vinyl Top and X9 black paint. She was painted orange long ago and it’s faded created an interesting two tone of rotten orange & black primer.

The Roadrunner’s body is in adequate shape, it has all of the trim, the lights, the bumpers and has minimal rust, only on the trunk. Her interior is solid but it will need some work. It needs gauges and new seats as the current ones are torn. The floor pans however are in good shape and are free of holes.

Underneath the hood is a 383 RB engine that according to the owner was “supposedly rebuilt by previous owner.” Attached to the 383 is a 727 that connects to a 8 ¾ inch suregrip rear out back (unknown gears). Stopping her are four 11 inch drums, she sits on a set of racing wheels.
