Don’t Miss the Woodward Dream Cruise Coming Up Next Weekend

The 17th Annual Woodward Dream Cruise is fast approaching and is sure to give participants a taste of classic car culture. Originally started to raise funds for a soccer field in Ferndale, Michigan in 1995, the Woodward Dream Cruise [3] continues to bring the nostalgia of the 1950s and 60s to modern times. In addition to the fun and socialization of the cruise, participants also help support hundreds of charities from purchases along the way.

[4]The Woodward Dream Cruise will take place on August 20th from 9a.m. to 9p.m. Traveling through eight host communities in the Detroit area, the cruise will travel along a 16-mile stretch of Woodward Avenue.

The cruise begins in the Pontiac community and ends in Ferndale. In years past, the event has attracted upwards of 40,000 participants with unique cars as well as over a million visitors.

The cruise, which celebrates automotive culture in the very birthplace of the automobile, does not cost anything to participate in. However, official Dream Cruise merchandise and refreshments will be sold throughout the event with proceeds going to over 100 local charities.

In past years, this event has been a big hit and we‘re sure this year will be no different. We look forward to hearing more about the cruise and seeing pictures from it from any of you who make the trip to Michigan to participate in this major car event.
