Already on the cusp of becoming something great, this silver surfer of a rod is one not to miss. Posted on eBay, feast your eyes on this slick 1932 Ford Roadster.
It may be a rolling chassis, but it sure is a clean one. With no engine or transmission mounts, you have the potential to drop in any mill you want. The Brookville 1932 Ford Roadster body is as straight as an arrow and comes with a sweet fender package that complements the stance of the rod.
The Rootlieb 25 louver sides give the front some attitude, which also has a Brookville grille shell and a Brookville flat firewall. The chopped windshield adds more aggression to the already low stance the custom Roadster sits on. The headlight bar has been dropped and narrowed and there are also front fender braces to keep things intact and stable on each side.
The wheel setup features 15×4.5 Halibrands fronts and 16×8 Trick 8’s wrapped with Firestone rubber. Surprisingly, this deal has a second option with wheels, which are an offset 16-inch front and 18-inch rear black steelies.
The front suspension consists of a custom axle, custom spring, tie rod kit, drag link kit, spindles and bushings, adjustable perches, lower shock mounts, front panhard, disc brakes, and split 1947 Ford wishbones. The rear suspension has a new 9-inch rearend and 31-spline axle to spin the meaty 255/70R16 rubbers.
With a solid shell and suspension foundation, this is a great start for anyone looking to finish an already sweet build. A tranny, engine, and other driveline components may be on the to-do list, but at least you have piece of mind that when it goes in you’ll be the first to get this custom rolling, and not just as a chassis.
What are your thoughts? What would be your first order of business? Should it be left as bare steel or is it worthy of a candy paint job? Feel free to leave a comment below.
