There’s very few cars that lend themselves so easily to customization as the first generation Camaro. Why? We think its the same reason for the ’32 Ford, the VW Beetle, and the ’65 Mustang: quantity. Frankly, there were hundreds of thousands of each of these cars build (in the case of the Beetle, millions), and looking at the same car over and over again can become tedious.
When we caught wind of this customized ’67 Camaro over on eBay, we had to include it here. While the seller states that the Camaro has been appraised at $180,000, it’s currently listed at just over $20K with what the seller calls a “very low reserve.” With only 467 miles on the clock, the ’67 is street legal but and has yet to see any track time.
Beneath the cowl hood is a brand-new HUR-built 565 big block with Dan Fodge Big Stuff 3 EFI. But don’t expect to fill it up on Premium, this F-Body runs on ethanol. Backing the big plant is a 5-speed Tremec transmission and clutch spinning a Corvette C5 independent rear suspension with adjustable coil-overs. The rebuilt Dana 44 rotates a pair of custom carbon fiber halfshafts.
Up front is a complete Corvette C4 front suspension setup with adjustable coilovers and rack and pinion. Found at each corner are Baer discs with 6-piston calipers and 15-inch rotors. These all bring the lightweight Camaro to a halt as it rides on its custom-made wheels with 285/25/ZR20s up front and 345/35/ZR20 P Zeros tires in the rear.
Of course, the most notable thing is the Camaro’s unique look. While the Camaro is a full frame, steel bodied car, it sports custom fiberglass wheel flares, front fenders and hood, which may or may not be a deal breaker for many. Inside is an all-new interior with Recaro seats and Autometer gauges.
