As many of you know, the fifth in the series of the Fast and Furious movies, Fast Five, opened in theaters here in America on Friday April 29. This came just three days after the European premiere of the movie in Amsterdam. In addition to the stars that made an appearance at the European premiere, many notable cars could be seen at the event thanks to muscle car owners in the area. Thanks to Pro-Touring.com forum member Martin71RS for posting up pictures of the event.
Fast Five stars, Paul Walker and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, arrived to the premiere in a new Charger and Challenger. Although these cars were not the same color scheme as the ones used in the movie, they were reminiscent of the large Dodge presence found in the movie.
More impressive than the event cars and the stars that showed up, was the presence of so many custom muscle cars brought to the premiere by their owners.
It seems that the muscle car presence was invited since the cars were parked in car-show manner on the sidewalk, but it is unclear if only certain muscle car organizations were allowed to have their cars as part of the event. Either way, base on the images, the locally owned muscle cars seemed to really add to the atmosphere of the premiere. It’s nice to see that the people behind the Fast and Furious movies are supportive of local gear-head involvement for their premier events.
