With the premiere showings of the soon-to-be blockbuster Furious 7 movie going on in just about every town from California to Connecticut, we thought you might like to know that one of the cars from the fourth installment of the now famous film franchise was about to go on the auction block. Want one of the F&F cars? Here’s your chance!
We just found out that Leake Auction Company has received on consignment a 1971 (it’s titled a 1971, but was rebuilt to look like a 1970 model) Chevrolet Chevelle featured in number four of The Fast and the Furious series. This collectible Chevelle, and approximately 450 other vehicles, will cross the auction block in Dallas Market Hall, April 17-19, 2015.
The car, according to Leake, is in excellent condition. It was purchased by the studio as an extra stunt car, however, this specific Chevelle was never jumped. Jeff Allen purchased the Chevy Chevelle from Frank Collins of Cinema Vehicles, and then consigned it to the Dallas auction. The winning bidder will receive a letter of authenticity and a six-disc DVD set of The Fast and the Furious series of films.
Leake Auction Company is no stranger to cars of this type, as the company has sold six of the 14 cars from The Fast and the Furious franchise that Jeff Allen has owned. “Furious 7 is the most anticipated movie release of 2015,” stated Richard Sevenoaks, president of Leake Auction Company. “The Fast and the Furious series has an enormous following that is very loyal. With Furious 7 being the conclusion of the saga, this is an excellent car to add to a collection.”
The doors to Dallas Market Hall will open at 9 a.m. during the aution, and admission is $20 for adults, $15 for military and senior with ID, and $7 for children under 12 years of age. For a complete list of vehicles consigned to this auction, visit the Leake Auction Company website.
