The guys over at MSCC let us know about “Les,” the owner of this nice ’69 Dodge Charger. On January 14th, 2012 in Consort, Alberta, Canada some low-life took his vehicle and scammed him out of his money by giving him a fake bank check.
Of course, at the time the rubber check looked legit, so much so that Les helped the guy load his new Charger into his trailer, shook his hand, thanked him and away he went.
It was only when Les took the check to the bank to deposit it. It went through the banking system and a few days later, the issuing bank notified Les’ bank that the check is not good. It could’ve happened to any of us, and that’s exactly what happened with this B5 Blue Charger, and now Les is putting out the word – including some pictures of the dirty rat who handed over the bogus check – for all the word to see.
While the owner was already ripped off, Les is offering a reward in the retrieval of his pilfered Mopar. If you have any information or have seen this car around, please contact Les at [email protected] and help us get this Charger back to its original owner before this Dodge is shipped overseas or worse.
