eBay holds some of the most intriguing and eye-popping items to ever grace the internet. From nostalgic lunchboxes to full-scale airsoft M60 machine guns, the auction hosting site has enough items and trinkets to keep users fixated for hours.

Over on the Motors side, however, is where we find the real gems, like this 1969 L89 C3 Corvette. Well, strictly speaking, much of the car has been dismantled, but the critical components have survived over the years, and possess the potential for awesomeness when fully assembled.

Included in the lot are the body, F41 heavy duty suspension, Muncie four-speed transmission, two limited-slip differentials, the original hardtop, and 15-inch steel wheels. But the main attraction has to be the pair of engines that come packaged with the sale.

Being a true L89 Corvette, the famous 427 cubic-inch motor is the choice you might go for if originality and authenticity is your game. 435 horsepower is plenty to go around, especially in these classic C3s that were made to run. The original L89 is missing, but lives on through the converted 396 big-block with L89 heads.

But if you want even more get-up-and-go lurking under the hood, the seller has also thrown in a legitimate L88 V8. A legend in its own time, this monster of an eight-cylinder motor rates at close to 560 horsepower running on high octane, and would be a blast to have installed and running.

The listing has expired, however, and has yet to be relisted by the seller after the bidding failed to reach its reserve. A measly $7,300 was the top offering before the auction ended, well below the market value of everything put together. What do you think?
