If you’re a Mopar lover and don’t know about Hotchkis‘ road course-smoldering E-Body Challenger, you’ve been obviously living under a rock someplace. Looking all the part of a modern-day SCCA racer, John Hotchkis’ T/A-inspired ’70 Challenger has graduated to the role of an unofficial mascot. Making the rounds for several years, the effervescent E-Body continues to show the automotive world how potent these old Chryslers can be. But what about the rest of the Mopars?
John Hotchkis and his crew of engineers have recently developed complete (and we mean complete) handling packages for all Chrysler A and B-Bodies. Yeah, that includes ’67-’76 Darts, Barracudas, Demons, Dusters, Scamps, and yes, even the lowly Valiant. And for those running the larger intermediates between 1966 through 1976, you’re just as covered.
Packaged as Hotchkis’ Total Vehicle System (TVS), these are aimed at being the final solution to getting your muscle car handling at its very best.
So what should you expect? A comprehensive package including Hotchkis’ re-engineered upper A-Arms, square-tube and completely bolt-in sub-frame connectors, articulated strut rods, monster-sized adjustable anti-sway bars, and their stabilizing leaf springs. And even if you’re not looking for all of these goodies, you can pick and choose what you need and what you don’t.
And since you’re running a Mopar hard through the paces, Hotchkis has even developed its own set of super-rigid road gripping front torsion bars, with the goal of eliminating all the body roll, rear steer, and chassis flex.
