There’s just some things you think you’ll never witness. When we spotted this wheelstanding (what appears to be a ’84 or ’85) Dodge Ramcharger over on BangShift.com, we realized, “Yeah, we should never think ‘We’ve seen it all’ ever again.”
First posted on a “sleeper” thread over on drag racing forum Yellowbullet.com, this pale blue Ramcharger yanks the front wheels and trips the 60 foot lights with the back tires. We suppose all you folks complaining the new Camaro and Challenger are loosing to the Mustang because of the weight might want to take a lesson from this monster 5,000 lbs. rig.
Posted by forum member “Bowtie 406,” this mighty Mopar is only one of a larger group of sleeper builders, guys intent on building some seriously unassuming cars that can really haul the mail. The Ramcharger – for those unfamiliar – was a full-sized Dodge Ram-based two-door SUV similar to Ford’s once cool Bronco trucks. The larger two-door SUVs gave way to their full-sized family rigs like the Suburban and Expedition, but Dodge seeing this as a trend, stayed away, opting not to build a full-sized SUV off its successful Ram trucks.
