As one of the largest companies in the performance industry, MAHLE Aftermarket has a number of divisions that produce a wide variety of performance parts. The MAHLE Aftermarket division is home to Clevite Engine Bearings and MAHLE Original Piston Rings, all of which were on board a number of champions in the motorsports world this season.
The weekend of November 15-16 was a banner one for the company, as champions in four different racing classes took their respective titles with MAHLE components on board. In NASCAR Sprint Cup, Kevin Harvick took home the series championship trophy after a hard-fought battle with Ryan Newman, whom he outlasted by a single point to take home the title.
In NHRA competition, Top Fuel champ Tony Schumacher, Funny Car winner Matt Hagan, and Pro Stock’s first-time champion Erica Enders-Stevens all took home their respective Champion titles with MAHLE parts installed on their vehicles.
“We’re proud that each of these great competitors put their trust in MAHLE components to help them take home their championships,” said Jon Douglas, General Manager, MAHLE Aftermarket Inc. “We are honored to be associated with them, and the fantastic racing series each represents.”
The company uses their involvement in motorsports to develop engine components and technical support to the aforementioned teams, as well as teams competing in Formula 1, IndyCar, and endurance racing, to develop advanced designs which eventually find their way into the next generation of production engines.
