At the Heidts Performance Car Challenge one thing was certain, there would be fierce competition between three very well known competitors, Mary Pozzi, Mark Stielow and James Shipka. These three competitors have faced each other numerous times and are super stars in these types of contests.
Bangshift provided a nice event recap of the Heidts Performance Car Challenge complete with detailed accounts of the blow-by-blow action. The Challenge featured three categories for competition, Nitto Autocross Challenge, Heidts Road Course Challenge and the Wilwood Wilstop Challenge. This event was hosted at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL.
When you think Autocross, Mary Pozzi’s name comes to mind and of course she took first place in the Nitto Autocross Challenge, with leaving Stielow in second and Shipka in third place. Stielow took the win on the Heidts Road Course Challenge, leaving Shipka in second and Pozzi in third place. When the final numbers in this pro-touring competition were tabulated, Mark Stielow came out in the top position.
Pro-Touring.com created a thread to congratulate Stielow on his win at the Heidts Performance Car Challenge as well as congratulating Pozzi on cementing her place at the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational held after the SEMA Show.
