Championship winning NASCAR crew chief and team owner Ray Evernham will be hosting a car show, AmeriCarna Live. This show will take place in the little town of Davidson, North Carolina on Saturday November 30th at Ingersoll Rand’s Davidson campus.
AmeriCarna Live will feature hundreds of classic musclecars, vintage hot rods and of course stock cars. A few of the cars that will be in attendance include late country star Marty Robbins’ 1964 Plymouth Belvedere stock car, which Robbins’ raced at the Nashville Fairgrounds in the 60’s. Evernham is the current owner of this car and he has recently restored to racing condition.
Other cars in attendance will be authentic Moonshine runner’s cars from the ’40s and ’50s as well as countless American hot rods and classic muscle machines. If you are a NASCAR fan you will be excited to know that Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be in attendance showing off a few cars of his own including a his rarely seen 1977 Oldsmobile 442 with Panasport wheels.
Fellow NASCAR driver Jimmie Johnson will also be at the show, displaying a few cars of his own including a custom Corvette. Rick Hendrick of Hendrick Motors will be showing several toys of his own and NASCAR Legend Rusty Wallace will be bringing his 1978 Corvette
All of the proceeds for AmeriCarna Live will benefit Evernham’s charity IGNITE a charity which helps young adults living with Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome. The show entry fees are $25 to host a car and $5 to spectate for the day. Besides cars there will be live music, food from local restaurants and a play area for kids.
